I'm thinking that parents would do a better job, than the government, of keeping schools up to par. So - perhaps going back to all schools being private institutions is the way to go.
Or...
Perhaps, we could get parents to be more involved and demand more from their kids and the schools. Offer tax breaks for better grades and tax penalties for lower scores.

First, let me say, Valentines Day is not a "Holiday" unless you get a day off from work.
We did. In fact - it seems I'll be home tomorrow, too. Granted; the "celebration" for most everyone will be limited, this year, as backs will be thrown asunder by the weight of the snow/ice/slush.
I like snow.

I had written that I'd like to be the Dad that is home more than he's at work.
Well - I got some sweet little cold virus that kept me home more than at work this past week.
