Shots and Firing

So - there was the biannual school shoot-up yesterday.

It's been awhile since we had our semiannual bomb threats at Palmyra.

School violence is sad and scary. Susan & I used to assume that if I was caught in the middle of a potential shoot-out, I'd be that nut-case-of-a-teacher that would growl at the kid to just hand over the gun..."And stop shooting me. Now , who's going to clean up the mess, young man?!"

Now that I NEED to get home to my kids, I doubt that scenario will ever come to fruition anymore. Heck - I drove a totalled car home just to make dinner.

While the Virginia shooting was horrendous, I can only imagine that some folks at the 24-hour news channels are heaving a sigh of relief. How much can you report about Anna Nicole, Don Imus, and the daily Iraq violence before we stop caring?

Now there's a chance that the daily bombings in Iraq will once again seem like "real news" and get the public attention more than model and musician mommies.

Need More Sleep

I'm finding myself getting angry when I know it's not rational to be so.

So - I did some searching (to make sure I'm not already progressing down the dementia road of some of my relatives).

I guess, the most likely culprit is "not enough sleep."

Either that, or the "future is now" and I'm from a completely different planet.

Search for "irrational anger," and you'll find "Bendii Syndrome." Go ahead; search that phrase. I'll wait.

Yeah - I always felt a kinship with those folks...

Desparately Seeking Sesame Street

Anyone have links to favorite OLD ("Classic") Sesame Street clips.

I'm ESPECIALLY interested in re-finding a clip I lost, but my daughter keeps singing and requesting:

"I Love to Sing in the _________"
Featuring Olivia, Oscar, Ernie, and Big-Bird.

My favorite clip is currently:

Fishies
