Prayer need

Sister-in-law, Jenny, had a baby this past Monday. Both baby (Abby) and Jenny are back in the hospital; both with complications.

Jenny seems to have developed an infection.
Abby is not yet diagnosed, but she's on IV with Antibacterials.

Brother is self-employed; so medical expenses will be rough. Baby is likely to be shipped to Hershey Med-center.

Update:
Jen & Abby are both at Hershey. Chris (daddy) is worked thin trying to make sure visiting needs, child-care needs (for the 3 other boys), and money-making needs are met. Being self-employed requires that he gets work done, regardless of the family situation.

Update again:

Ummmm - keep praying, but they know what's up, now. It's shingles. They both have shingles.

Is a bad joke Ok at this time...? Chris used to be a roofer.

Elmo

I watch plenty of TV with my daughter. We see Elmo a lot. He's been around since about 1985. he's had his own segment on Sesame Street since about the late 90's.

I giggled when I imagined him doing segments for the older kids...

"You know; the periodic table of elements!"

The More You Know

Bible lesson:

Who did Adam accuse when God asked him why he ate the fruit?

Genesis 3:12. Adam blames God. Check it out.

...The woman you gave to me...

"The Fall of Man" isn't just that we now have knowledge of good and evil; it's that we also blame God for when we screw up.

How Well Do You Know Me

I contributed some pieces to this story. Can you guess which parts?

1st Hint: I'm not proud of the grammar I inadvertently did use.

2nd Hint: GIGO.

Democracy Inaction

I had a thought and was wondering if y'all could clarify it for me.

"Democracy's best results can only be mediocrity."

That was the thought.

The reasoning:
Democracy relies on the idealism of the majority. The majority of people do not strive for extreme ideals. Therefore, the Democratic majority strive to bring about mediocrity.

Am I wrong?

If I'm right, where have you seen this to be most true?
