Fixing Education in the US

I'm thinking that parents would do a better job, than the government, of keeping schools up to par. So - perhaps going back to all schools being private institutions is the way to go.

Or...

Perhaps, we could get parents to be more involved and demand more from their kids and the schools. Offer tax breaks for better grades and tax penalties for lower scores.
