Well, actually, it turns out a PA inventor may have accidentally invented a cure for oil dependence while working on a cure for cancer. Oh - and it might help with the Cancer, too... |

Then I got the following update on Tuesday the 30th (if I'm not mistaken, an important date for Microsoft):
After this update, I had to do the first and only "system restore" I've had to do since I bought the computer in August. The update made my computer never finish starting up and kept any internet applications from ever opening (or in the case of IE7; from accessing my DSL connection).
So - BBSpot Satire became truth, this time. Except, they'll have to launch an "update" that wipes out my system restore points for me to think about updating to Vista.

It's quite simple, actually, but would they do it?
Apple needs to avoid getting caught when the paradigm shifts.
Apple needs to make sure that they are the first to offer an MP3 player that does more than just play downloaded MP3 and Video Content. They need to be the first to offer an single unit that:
*Can play nearly any Digital Media format. *Can send FM signals to broadcast content to personal, home, and car radios. (So far, they've done these things.) *Can receive FM and AM radio signals. (This should be EASY.) *Can receive content from a Subscription Digital Satellite Service, like Sirrius or XM Radio (but perhaps Apple's own version of the same). Their BEST option would be to make a unit that could even receive digital and/or broadcast video signals, as well.
I would even consider buying such a unit. As it is, now, I would miss not having AM and FM radio content.
Will it happen, or will SONY beat them to it?
I'm betting on SONY.
