Again, some updates/compilation from my Twitter posts.
But first, an amusing note regarding Twitter. People are trying to use Twitter as part of their business model: to drum up business. They search for key terms and "follow" people who post said terms in the hopes that the "Twit" will "follow" them back.
I'm not that kind of twit.
I do not plan to follow the:
(Several) Realtors and "Realty Riches" Twits.
Morticians
or
Fitness Gurus
And now to the compilation:
There is a large difference between "choosing your battles" & "picking a fight." More similar are "losing graciously" & "accepting defeat."
The less we recognize and/or meet the needs of our own neighbors, the more the role of government expands.
When asked yesterday, Eve said that the "special" thing to do for Mother's Day should be to SPIN & get donuts. Step 1 was just performed.
Noticed that Lebanon City has NO ONE on the Dem. primary ballot for the Lebanon City School board. Write "Bill Fenstermaker" in there.
Based on Facebook responses, funeral homes: be prepared for overhaul. We want water-parks, video games, & ice-cream. no more somber crap.
When I die, I want my funeral to be so much anticipated frolic & fun that we have "Funeral Crashers". I'm thinking a free movie-night
Dear Work: I don't hate you due to tedious tasks, annoying people, or endless hoops. I despise needing you for money. Freedom is relative.
I think Obama should nominate Joe the Plumber for the Supreme court seat, just to see how many heads explode.
Grammy's all set to sing at her funeral on Friday the 8th: http://tinyurl.com/cbazq2

If a "Show About Nothing" can succeed, why don't so many decent shows?
I've been watching several TV series that got "cut short." The story-telling is often quite good. Perhaps they die by TV audiences prefer to not think.
There are some other things that have not yet been done that I'd really like to see:
- "Star Wars: the Musical" Although,
this comes close.- the Muppets covering Broadway hits (picture Gonzo as the Phantom).
&
- A good Opera featuring comic-book heroes; specifically, BATMAN (c'mon - would it really be much of a stretch considering what Wagner wrote?).
What do YOU want to see?

Since I tend to post little here but quite a bit via Twitter, I thought I'd visit my Twitter Profile and just copy/paste a few thoughts and happenings from the past months....
I'm a
Geek Geek... As the economy is crashing down around us & govt's crumble; it's important to have a worthless/dead scapegoat. I blame James Buchanan, Jr. We blame the dead in order to move on with little argument. Blaming the living results in defamation lawsuits.
The attitudes of Elementary School singers are SO much better than HS students. My High School choir needs more Diva voices, but less Diva attitude. How does one go about making that happen?
Someone get Danny Elfman, Joss Whedon, (maybe Chris Carter) & Tim Kring to collaborate on a Superhero Opera. Danny's been to Carnegie Hall.
In an effort to build up more geek TV cred., I watched the entire "Firefly/Serenity" TV show & movie; in about a week's time. I finished up "Farscape" in about 2.5 weeks.
Can we blame Hollywood for Great Depression II? They wrote how to stop everything from Aliens to Zombies, but skipped over Economic Downturns.
Discussing this show: http://is.gd/ntC1 Susan & I said Eve would eat 1 cookie, Seth would wait, & I wouldn't have cared about either cookie.
I love that I have nearly an entire 3rd grade class that likes to greet me w/ the "live long & prosper" (Star Trek / Vulcan) hand-sign. Same 3rd grade class willing & interested to discuss whether or not music wouldn't sound like cacophony/noise to aliens. What if Alien beings can't hear the music on the Voyager Spacecraft, but instead FEEL surges of sound as some sort of first-strike attack? By the way: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=G1d83XOORP0 ("Live Long & Prosper" is Jewish Hand-sign for "Shin" or the manifestation of God.)
Driving home & flipping through AM radio, heard Sean Whine-ity complaining about bailouts, followed by his ad for GM. Irony much?
It's hard to have empathy for the CEO's of failing companies. Too many of them obviously ate their way into financial ruin.
I know it's too early to joke, but does the death of Liam Neeson's wife mean that he'll be playing darker and more brooding characters?
I am, as a matter of fact, a fan; as evident in this post, of the abuse, overuse, and wasting of punctuation; whether or not correctly used. I'm not a fan, though, of whippersnappers saying, OUT LOUD, "LOL." As such, I do not think it means what you think it means.
When politicians debate the Definition of Marriage, why not skip recognizing marriage at all? Why discriminate against single people?
Did the government put tax time so close to Easter to remind us all that Death nor Taxes are ever final?

Anyone printing/posting official notices: there's NEVER a need to PRINT "to repeat." No matter how important the public notice is; you do not need to "repeat" it on the website once it has been typed. To repeat, there's never a need to PRINT "to repeat."
Unless your goal is to scream, metaphorically, to the entire staff, "I'm an doody-head!" there is no need to "reply to all" regarding how a fellow staff-person
might have
inadvertently done something that left you "out of the loop" or involving unwise/improper procedures. It's also not your best course of action if said "wrongdoer" is your Superior.
Once everyone is at work, there is no safety benefit gained to sending everyone home that very same hour (Susan's work issue today).

I don't post enough here anymore.
It's cause I post a lot at
Twitter.
The worst thing, I suppose, is that y'all can't comment much unless you're on Twitter.
2nd worst is that I could easily lose all of my "Twitter Blog" when Twitter dies (& it will, when no one funds it anymore).
3rd worst is that most of my thinking, writing, & communication is now done in less than 140 characters.

You Are a Question Mark
|

You seek knowledge and insight in every form possible. You love learning.
And while you know a lot, you don't act like a know it all. You're open to learning you're wrong.
You ask a lot of questions, collect a lot of data, and always dig deep to find out more.
You're naturally curious and inquisitive. You jump to ask a question when the opportunity arises.
Your friends see you as interesting, insightful, and thought provoking.
(But they're not always up for the intense inquisitions that you love!)
You excel in: Higher education
You get along best with: The Comma

Woot...
I contributed something small to something bigger:
Sure, since it's based on Facebook stuff, he pronounces Lancaster incorrectly & doesn't realize I live in Lebanon... but Look what I did! I got Soctt Adams interviewed! Woot for me!

After years of listening to the same, well-worn, 3rd generation audio-tape, I finally decided to attempt to make MP3 files of this awesome album.
Listen/Download here.
